NUMBER T40026SET3
SET 3 TOOLS FOR VW
These three tools are same as (VAG) special service tools, used primarily for engine timing procedures on various Audi and VW models (often shared between the brands). Crankshaft Lock Pins designed to hold the crankshaft at Top Dead Center (TDC) during timing belt/chain service, belt replacement, or related engine work to prevent timing slippage and ensure accurate reassembly. Here's a breakdown of the tool numbers below:
T400026 (left side of the image): hex drive end, threaded body, pointed tip.
This secures the crankshaft at TDC position, commonly used in conjunction with camshaft locking tools during timing belt/chain replacement or related front-end engine service. This is an OEM- equivalent/updated version for many VW/Audi engines (especially for some V6/V8 configurations), and often listed interchangeably or comparably with 3242 in tool kits and cross-references for locking the crank to prevent rotation.
3242 (center of the image): knurled body, threaded, with a rounded or blunt end)
This is a classic crankshaft TDC locking pin (OEM VW/Audi part number 3242). It holds the crankshaft at Top Dead Center while removing/installing the toothed timing belt, flywheel, or drive plate. It's widely used on a range of VW/Audi engines, including many V6 (e.g., 2.8L AAH/AFC/AHA/ATQ), V8 (e.g., 4.2L variants like BAR/BNS/BVJ/BYH), and others such as 2.7L, 5.2L, and 6.0L engines. Applications span models like Audi A4, A6, A8, S4, VW Passat, Touareg, and more (particularly 1990s–2000s era). Note: In some later models with front axle clearance issues, superseded by shorter versions like T40237.
T400069 (right side of the image): hex end, stepped body, narrower tip)
This is also a crankshaft TDC locking pin variant (often listed alongside or as an alternative to T400026/3242). It serves the same core purpose: locking the crankshaft at TDC for timing-related work. It's frequently cross-referenced with 3242/T400026 in tool sets and aftermarket listings for V6/V8 engines, suggesting it's used in similar or overlapping applications (e.g., certain Audi/VW V6 and V8 timing jobs, often paired with cam holders).
Note: These tools are not interchangeable in every case due to slight differences in length, thread, or tip design (tailored to specific engine block access holes or clearances), but they often appear in the same tool kits for diesel/gas engines. Always verify exact fitment for your specific engine code/model/year via official VW/Audi service info (e.g., or dealer resources), as using the wrong tool could damage threads or fail to lock properly.

NUMBER 3242
TDC Lock Pin
Our most popular VW Audi TDC Pin
3242: knurled body, threaded, with a rounded or blunt en.)
Note: In some later models with front axle clearance issues, this would be superseded by a shorter version like T40237.

NUMBER REMSET3
Set 3 Tools
Wheel lug nut (or bolt) cover removal tools, commonly used on cars (especially Volkswagen/Audi group vehicles, and a variety of other vehicles).
The large black plastic item at the top of the photo is a specialized puller/tweezer-style tool designed to grip and safely remove the plastic caps without scratching the wheels. It slides over the cap, hooks underneath, and pulls it off evenly.
The red-handled tool lower left is a basic hook puller for prying off lug nut covers.
The small metal wire tool (lower right) with a loop and hook is a simple removal key/pick, often included in factory tool kits (e.g., in the trunk with the spare tire tools) to hook into the cap and pop it off.
The caps themselves are decorative/protective plastic covers that snap over the actual metal lug nuts to give the wheels a cleaner look and protect against dirt/rust. They're common on alloy wheels and need to be removed before loosening the real lug nuts when changing tires.

NUMBER 1034-00
Terminal/Connector Removal Tool
removal tool designed primarily for VAG group vehicles (Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda) and Porsche. It's commonly referred to as a VAG Connector Remover, Push & Pull Connector Release Tool, or Terminal/Connector Removal Tool.
Key Details: This tool fits directly onto push-and-pull style electrical connectors (also called "D-style" or similar locking plugs) to provide leverage for safe disconnection without damaging the connector tabs, locking mechanisms, or wiring harnesses.
Used on connectors found in many locations, such as:
MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensors
Ignition coil packs
Headlights and fog lights
Level sensors
MAP sensors
And various other engine bay or electrical harness plugs in VAG/Porsche models.
Compatibility: Works on most push-pull connectors in Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche (and related brands). It's not for individual terminal pin extraction (de-pinning wires from the connector housing)—that's handled by separate pin removal tools (like those in kits for micro/junior terminals). This tool is specifically for releasing the entire connector plug.
Size: 93 X 80mm

NUMBER PAD-33660
2 pcs Camshaft Timing Chain Tensioner Shoe Pad
Will Fit 1.8T, 2.7T, 2.8L, 4.2L engines used between 1999 - 2007
These pieces that snap onto the metal hydraulic tensioner assembly.
The tensioner presses against the secondary timing chain connecting the intake and exhaust camshafts (in engines like the 1.8T, 2.7T, 2.8L V6 30V, and some 4.2L V8 models from roughly 1997–2006).
These pads wear out over time due to chain contact, heat, and oil exposure, leading to noise, grooves, or eventual failure if not addressed. OEM Vw does not sell these pads separately — they only offer the complete tensioner assembly (which can be pricey). Pictures are for reference only.

NUMBER T40267
Set 2 Tools
T40267 VW special service tool (also used for Audi) is a timing chain tensioner locking tool (often a small pin, clip, or shim, typically sold in pairs). It is specifically designed to lock or fix the hydraulic chain tensioner in a compressed/released position during timing chain replacement or service on Volkswagen and Audi 1.8L and 2.0L TSI/TFSI engines (EA888 family, including Gen 1, 2, and 3).
This prevents the tensioner from extending prematurely, which could cause the timing chain to jump or lose proper alignment while working on the camshafts, crankshaft, or chain itself. It's an essential safety step in the procedure to maintain correct engine timing. Common applications include models like:VW Golf/GTI, Jetta, Passat, Tiguan, Beetle, CC, EOS Audi A3, A4, A5, A6, Q5, TT often shown in manuals or diagrams as a small metal pin or clip.

NUMBER H2587
Hazet Pin Wrench
Special Tool same as old VW Number V159
High quality tool made in Germany
Pin Wrench same as V159
Needed to adjust the timing belt tensioner pulleys
on VW/Audi 4 cylinder gas and diesel 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9 and 2.0 liter engines
from approximately 1979 to 1997 and later, or earlier engines which have had the
later style timing belt tensioner pulley installed. The pins on this tool engage
the offset center hub of the timing belt tensioner pulley, allowing possibly a
15mm box end wrench to be placed on the pulley lock nut, and then rotatation the
offset center of the pulley upward in order to achieve proper timing belt tension.
Remember, these pulleys adjust upward, not downward. Correct tension on a gasoline
engines timing belt is achieved when the timing belt can just be twisted 1/4 turn
(90 degrees) with moderate pressure using thumb and index finger. Tension is checked midway between the cam sprocket and intermediate shaft. Tension that is less than this will cause timing belt chatter. Tension greater than this will cause the timing belt to howl once it gets hot and could lead to premature timing belt failure.
Correct tension for the diesel engines is checked and adjusted the same way, with the
exception that the belt tension is checked midway between the cam sprocket and the
injection pump sprocket and should only twist 1/8 of a turn (45 degrees) using the
finger/thumb twist method previously described. Additionally, when doing a timing
belt on the diesel engines, the cam locking tool is required, and the cam sprocket
must be loose, allowing the cam to be locked at TDC, and then the crank, injection pump, and cam sprocket are then rotated independently from the cam in order to achieve TDC for both the crank and injection pump.
Some manuals call this tool number 2587 and some other manuals may have it listed as number V159 (either number is correct).

NUMBER 2064
Diesel Lock Pin
Special Tool same as VW Pin 2064
This is a locking pin (often called an injection pump lock pin or retaining pin)
designed to hold the diesel injection pump gear/sprocket in place.
This prevents the gear from rotating during procedures like removing and installing the timing belt..
Removing or reinstalling the injection pump itself
This ensures proper timing alignment is maintained, which is critical on older diesel engines with distributor-type injection pumps (e.g., Bosch VE pumps).
Secures/locks the injection pump gear during timing-related work.
Compatible engines: Codes 1V, 1Z, AAB, ACV, AHU, AWP, AWV, CS, CY, DE, MD, ME, MF (often found in TDI models from the 1990s to early 2000s, such as Golf, Passat, A4, A6, and some commercial vans like T3/T4/LT).

NUMBER T10035

NUMBER T10078
Pillar Trim Release Tool
On cars with side curtain airbags, Volkswagen uses very difficult-to-remove clips to secure the pillar trim. You can yank on that pillar as much as you want, but the pillar will break before the stubborn clip lets go. Save your pillars and use Genuine Volkswagen tool T10078 to remove those troublesome pillar clips.
Since part of the clip is designed to break upon removal, always be sure to replace them when reinstalling the pillar trim. The clips are designed to keep the pillar from shooting off and hitting you in the face should the curtain airbags deploy.
T10078 allows technicians to release and dismantle the pillar trim clips without damaging the trim pieces or interfering with the airbag system. These clips are often one-time-use or partially destructive by design (part of the clip may break during removal), so new clips are typically required when reinstalling the trim.
Usage — The tool is slid behind/under the trim to hook/engage a specific part of the plastic clip (often a spike or protrusion on the clip), then used to release it cleanly. This is especially important on models from around 1998 onward (initial use noted on Golf Mk4 and similar platforms), including many VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda vehicles with curtain/side airbags. Some applications include:

NUMBER T10006A
