Note: Not all VW/Audi transmissions use this exact same size or style — some use 17mm hex (Allen) for fill plugs, or other XZN sizes (e.g., 14mm/18mm for axles).
Always confirm for your specific model/year/transmission type (manual, DSG, etc.) via a service manual or parts diagram. If it's a DSG or newer model, double-check as designs evolve.

NUMBER 3424
Spreader Socket
Steering Knuckle Strut Clamp Spreader
Tool is for safely opening the pinch spindle to separate the steering knuckle from the shock/strut. Spreader Socket Tool for A4 platform including Golf Jetta and Gti 337 20a.e. GTI 1999 to present. This tool is needed any time the strut needs to be separated from the wheel bearing housing. Most common would be changing/replacing struts, coil spring, or the entire strut assembly.
You would also use this tool when servicing the wheel bearing. You can not easily remove strut from wheel bearing housing without it. The wheel bearing housing clamps down very tight on the strut assembly-even with the bolt removed the housing is still firmly clamped to the strut. This socket allows you to spread the housing where it's clamped on so the strut can be removed.
Basically this tool is a must any time the strut/wheel bearing housing needs to be removed.
Important Note: Late model pinch bolts may need a 14mm XZN socket tool (not included).

NUMBER 4663-00
VW/Audi Diesel Injection Pump Wrench

Split Crowfoot Socket
22mm socket for oxygen sensors VW Audi located in the exhaust manifolds of 1981 and later cars and light trucks, including some VW.
3/8" drive
with 1/2" opening for easy access to oxygen sensor.
Even if you’re not a gear head you can replace your O2 sensor with this tool. 22mm (7/8") offset crowfoot oxygen sensor socket
(also called a flare nut crowfoot wrench or low-profile O2 sensor remover).
It removes and installs oxygen (O2) sensors or vacuum/pressure switches without damaging the wiring harness.
The open slot allows the tool to slip sideways onto the sensor hex while the wire remains attached, and the offset/low-profile design provides clearance and leverage in extremely tight spaces where a standard deep slotted socket won't fit.

NUMBER T10008
Marking Plate / Tensioner
T10008 is a specialty engine service tool, specifically a Tensioner Locking Plate (or pin). It is primarily used during the removal and installation of the timing belt (toothed belt) to lock the belt tensioner in a retracted position.
By holding the tensioner back, it creates the slack necessary to remove the old belt and properly align the new one without the tensioner pushing against it prematurely.
Key Applications
This tool is used across a wide range of Volkswagen Group (VAG) vehicles, including Audi, SEAT, and Skoda. It is most commonly associated with 1.2L, 1.4L, 1.9L, and 2.0L TDI PD (Pumpe Düse) diesel engines, as well as some 1.8T petrol engines.
Common Engine Codes: Diesel: AJM, AMF, ANY, ARL, ASZ, ATD, ATJ, AUY, AVB, AVF, AWX, AXR, BSW, BHC, and more.
Gas: AUG, AWM, AEB, ATW, AMB (specifically for models manufactured after August 2000).
Function: Locks the tensioning roller on adjustable/hydraulic tensioner types.
OEM Reference: T10008 (often bundled with other timing tools like the T10050 crankshaft stop and the 3359 injection pump locking pin).
Note: For older engine models (pre-August 2000), the T40011 locking pin is often the required alternative.
Usage Tip: When performing a timing belt service, the T10008 is typically inserted after using a tensioner wrench to compress the tensioning element. Once the plate is in place, you can safely remove the belt without the tensioner spring "snapping" or interfering with your timing marks.

NUMBER 3369
Carrier Lock Pins Set
3369 Lock Carrier Support Tools, Carrier Lock Pins, or Lock Carrier Service Position Guides/Support Bolts (a set of two long threaded bolts) M8 or M10x1.25 thread with sleeves, spacers, or knurled/17mm hex sections for easy hand-tightening or wrench use.
Normally used during front-end service procedures to hold the lock carrier (the front bumper/radiator support assembly, which includes the hood latch, headlights, radiator, and related components) in a partial service position.
By threading these supports into specific mounting points (typically on the frame rails or subframe), you can pull the lock carrier forward several inches without fully removing it. This provides better access to the engine bay for jobs like:Timing belt/chain replacement or adjustment
Accessory belt service
Cylinder head work
Radiator/condenser removal
Other front-end repairs where you need clearance without disconnecting everything (hoses, wiring, etc.)
Without these (or a DIY alternative), the lock carrier can sag or bind, risking damage to components or making the job much harder.
Fits a wide range of VW, Audi, and related VAG vehicles from the late 1990s onward (many models from ~1998+).
Common on platforms like: Audi: A4 (B5/B6/B7/B8), A6 (C5/C6), A8, TT, Q5, etc.
