NUMBER T40267X4
Set 4 Tools
Set including all four tools shown on the left side of the image including (2) T40267 and (2) T40011. The T40011 is a set of locking pins (set of small metal pins) and primary function is to lock the timing belt or chain tensioner (and in some cases, the oil pump chain tensioner or auxiliary chains) in a compressed or fixed position during timing belt/chain service. This relieves pressure and prevents the tensioner from extending, ensuring proper timing alignment while working on camshafts, crankshaft, or chains. It is commonly used on:Older timing belt engines: VW/Audi 3.0L V6 (5V), some 1.8L 4-cyl 5V turbo, 4.2L V8 (5V), and certain TDI models.
Chain-equipped engines: Frequently included in kits for 1.8L/2.0L TSI/TFSI EA888 engines (Gen 1-3), where it locks auxiliary chains (e.g., oil pump or balance shaft chains) or positions components to maintain chain alignment.

NUMBER 3418SET2
Set 2 Timing Tools
is a camshaft setting gauge or camshaft adjustment/locking plate — essentially a flat metal plate/tool used to precisely position and hold the camshaft at top dead center (TDC) during timing procedures.
3418 is used to: Adjust/align the camshaft position when setting injection pump timing (critical for diesel engines to ensure proper fuel delivery and avoid engine damage).
Lock/hold the camshaft in the correct timed position during timing belt replacement or service. Assist when reassembling the cylinder head after work (e.g., valve jobs, head gasket replacement).
The 3418 fits into a slot or recess on the camshaft (after removing the valve cover), resting flat against machined surfaces to prevent rotation and confirm/achieve exact alignment. It's a simple but essential plate-style gauge rather than a pin or bar.
Primarily for older Volkswagen 1.9L TDI and SDI diesel engines, especially: Engine code: ALH (most common, found in many North American models).
Other compatible codes: AHF, AGR, AQM, ASV, ASY, etc. (various 1.9 TDI/SDI variants).
Models (roughly 1998–2004 era):VW Golf/Jetta (Mk4), New Beetle, Passat (B4/B5 with ALH).
Audi A3 (early models with similar 1.9 TDI).
Also fits some earlier VW 1.5L/1.6L diesels in certain applications.
The 3418 is a classic tool for the pre-common-rail 1.9 TDI engines (VE pump system), not for newer PD (Pumpe-Düse) or common-rail TDIs which use different locking tools (like T10098, T10100, etc. found inside our store).
This sale is for 3418 and 3359 only.
Picture is for reference only.

NUMBER 449122X7
Set (2) Tools including 22mm Open Socket
Sturdy 1/2 Inch drive Socket plus 7mm Allen wrench.
This 22mm socket with cut-away is designed to
allow for the easy removal and installation of the strut assembly.
It makes the job easier by holding the nut while
the strut shaft is turned with an Allen wrench.
To secure shocks and struts to their mounts, the retaining nut must be
torqued to its proper specification using a torque wrench. Strut nut sockets
allow for the use of an Allen wrench to hold the damper shaft while utilizing
your 1/2" drive torque wrench on the socket to achieve proper torque.
An improper torque value may result in premature mount failure - or worse.
You get both tools with this purchase.

NUMBER 2064SET2

Set includes lock pin 2064 and 2065a Diesel Cam Shaft Locking Plate for securing the cam shaft from rotating and maintaining correct timing position during R&R of cam shaft drive belt/ designed to aid in the changing of the timing belt. It locks the camshaft in the correct position allowing the timing belt to be removed.
If the timing belt has been broken or is missing, this tool will locate the general
timing position of the cam as called for in the belt installation instructions.
You get both tools with this purchase.
Flat Plate 2065a Primarily for Volkswagen and Audi older diesel engines (mostly indirect injection or early TDI with VE pumps), including:
Note: Newer PD (Pumpe-Düse) and common-rail TDIs use different tools (e.g., T10098, T10100, T10352 series, etc.), so 2065A is not for modern VW diesels.

NUMBER 3400
Special Multi-Tooth Socket
This is a multi-tooth adapter or serrated socket/bit (commonly with 33 splines/teeth) designed specifically for removing and installing the alternator pulley (especially the freewheel or overrunning pulley, also called a clutch pulley or decoupler pulley) on many VW and Audi models. Used to hold or turn the pulley while loosening/tightening the central bolt. This prevents the alternator shaft from spinning during service. Common applications:VW models from around 1994 onward (e.g., Golf III/IV, Jetta, Passat, New Beetle, etc.).
Audi models (A3, TT, A4, and others with similar alternators).
Also fits some Seat and Skoda vehicles in the VAG lineup.
Many modern VW/Audi alternator pulleys have a one-way clutch (freewheel mechanism) to reduce belt vibration and improve efficiency. The pulley has internal serrations/splines instead of standard hex flats, so a regular socket won't work — you need this specialized 3400 tool.
Variations:The classic 3400 tool is the main multi-tooth adapter.
Note: There's sometimes a 3400/1 variant for newer applications (e.g., poly V-belt pulleys on later Audi A4 models from 2016+).
The Porsche reference number for this tool is 2592.

NUMBER 3366-T3

Special tool 3366 (Camshaft Chain Tensioner Compressor/Holding Tool)
This is the long threaded rod (top)with the black plastic T-handle same as the factory tool used to compress and hold the hydraulic camshaft chain tensioner during service.
Common on engines where one camshaft is driven by the timing belt,
and the second cam is connected via a short chain (e.g., 1.8T 20V, 2.7T/2.8L 30V V6, 4.2L 40V V8). Essential for tasks like: Replacing the cam chain tensioner or its gasket (very common leak point). Removing/installing camshafts. Timing belt jobs without disturbing cam timing. Usage tip: Screw it in slowly by hand (no power tools!), pausing to let hydraulic fluid bleed out. The plastic handle is designed to flex/break before damaging the tensioner if over-torqued.
Fits many 1990s–2000s VW/Audi models: Passat B5, A4/A6 (B5/B6), Allroad, Touareg, Phaeton, etc
