Same as VW number T10011 

Removing/reinstalling the key lock cylinder in the exterior door handle.

Accessing a special spline-headed screw or retainer that secures the lock cylinder (this fastener isn't compatible with standard Torx or hex tools).

This is a XZN Style driver.

This is the correct tool for the job.

Similar applications on trunk locks in some models.

For models like the VW Beetle, Golf (e.g., Mk4), Audi TT, and others where the door handle has a key cylinder.

For full door handle removal (without the lock cylinder), other tools like T10072, T10389, or generic hook tools are sometimes referenced, but this T10011 is specifically for the lock cylinder screw.

16mm XZN (triple square / 12-point), often labeled as M16. 

Features the hollow tip to accommodate tamper-proof pins.

Appl: Transmission (gearbox) drain plug removal during fluid changes or repairs. It fits many models including: Audi: A3, A4, A6, A8, and others.

Volkswagen: Golf, Passat, and more.

Also compatible with some Porsche (e.g., Boxster) and even certain Detroit Diesel applications. Comparable to VW tool 3357 (and sometimes referenced with T10198).

Note: Not all VW/Audi transmissions use this exact same size or style — some use 17mm hex (Allen) for fill plugs, or other XZN sizes (e.g., 14mm/18mm for axles). 

Always confirm for your specific model/year/transmission type (manual, DSG, etc.) via a service manual or parts diagram. If it's a DSG or newer model, double-check as designs evolve.

Special Alternator Socket

Multi-Spline Socket

This is a multi-tooth adapter or serrated socket/bit (commonly with 33 splines/teeth) designed specifically for removing and installing the alternator pulley (especially the freewheel or overrunning pulley, also called a clutch pulley or decoupler pulley) on many VW and Audi models. Used to hold or turn the pulley while loosening/tightening the central bolt. This prevents the alternator shaft from spinning during service. Common applications: VW models from around 1994 onward (e.g., Golf III/IV, Jetta, Passat, New Beetle, etc.).

Audi models (A3, TT, A4, and others with similar alternators).

Also fits some Seat and Skoda vehicles in the VAG lineup.

Many modern VW/Audi alternator pulleys have a one-way clutch (freewheel mechanism) to reduce belt vibration and improve efficiency. The pulley has internal serrations/splines instead of standard hex flats, so a regular socket won't work — you need this special tool.

Note: There's another VW number 3400/1 socket-variant for newer applications (e.g., poly V-belt pulleys on later Audi A4 models from 2016+).


The Porsche reference number for the 3400 is 2592.

When you remove the brake shoes from a drum brake assembly, the wheel cylinder pistons are no longer held in place by the tension of the shoes. If someone accidentally presses the brake pedal, or if the internal spring pressure is high, the pistons can pop out of the cylinder, causing brake fluid to spill and air to enter the system.

These clamps provide the necessary tension to keep everything seated while you work. 

  • Most standard sets that include this pair of clamps show them having a capacity of about 3.5 inches (90mm).
  • Materials: They are made of spring steel, often with a black oxide or powder-coated finish to resist corrosion from brake fluid.

Small Engine Valve Tappet Depressor (also known as a valve adjusting depressor) is a specialized hand tool designed to press down on the valve lifter (tappet) or cam follower. This is done to create enough space to remove or replace the small metal discs called shims that set the valve clearance.

In many overhead cam (OHC) engines, the gap between the camshaft and the valve is controlled by these shims. Over time, the gap can change, requiring a shim swap to keep the engine running smoothly.

Instead of removing the entire camshaft—which is a time-consuming and complex process—you use this tool to depress the tappet against the valve spring pressure. Once held down, you can safely pluck the old shim out and slide a new one in.

This allows for "on-car" or "in-frame" valve adjustments, saving hours of labor.

Compatibility: While common in automotive applications (like older VW, Audi, and Fiat engines), "small engine" versions are used for high-performance or modern overhead-cam lawnmower, motorcycle, and generator engines.

Classic orange plastic oil dipstick funnel (also called a dipstick guide tube, boot, or holder) with the OEM part number 053 103 663 (or 053103663) from Volkswagen/Audi (VAG group).

This small cylindrical part is the upper guide/funnel where the engine oil dipstick inserts into the dipstick tube. It seals the top to keep dirt, debris, and moisture out of the engine while holding the dipstick securely in place.

Many modern vehicles (especially late-model Audi, BMW, Ford, Lincoln, and Volkswagen) use plastic oil drain plugs on the engine oil pan instead of traditional metal ones.
