Component Breakdown
Slide Hammer & Shaft: Used to provide the "impact" force needed to pop a stuck or carbon-caked injector out of the cylinder head without prying, which can damage the injector body.
Open-End Adapter (The black "fork" piece): This slides onto the injector body. The slide hammer shaft then threads into this adapter (using an M8 x 1.25 thread).
Tapered Cone (Brass/Gold piece): Used to expand the new Teflon (PTFE) seal as you slide it onto the tip of the injector. Calibration Sleeve (Silver/Chrome piece): After the seal is on, you slide this sleeve over it to compress and "resize" the Teflon seal back to its original diameter so it fits snugly into the head.
Dual-purpose (Removal of the injector and installation/calibration of the delicate Teflon seals).
Safety Tip: When using the tapered cone, always ensure the injector tip is clean. Teflon seals are very stiff and "memory-based," so using the calibration sleeve immediately after expanding the seal is crucial for a leak-free fit.
