Hydraulic Tensioner Pin Set

Universal automotive service tool kit, commonly known as a timing belt/chain tensioner retaining pin set, hydraulic tensioner locking pin set, or tensioner compression pin kit.

Hardened spring steel pins (6 different diameters) compress and lock hydraulic timing belt or chain tensioners (or some serpentine/accessory belt tensioners) in a retracted position. This holds the plunger fixed during tensioner removal, belt/chain replacement, or installation—preventing the hydraulic piston from extending prematurely and allowing safe, spill-free work. After service, simply pull the pin out to release and restore tension.
