This 28mm diesel injector tool is a special socket wrench designed for removing and installing fuel injectors on certain diesel engines.

These sockets are bi-hex (12-point) and have an open-side to fit the injector's hex nut or flange precisely, preventing damage during high-torque operations.

This size (28mm) is frequently used on:

Heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and commercial trucks, such as some Scania, MAN, Mercedes-Benz CRD, and Bedford models, various European diesel engines with Bosch or similar common-rail systems (e.g., older indirect-injection or specific VM-system engines).

Note: It's distinct from other common sizes like 27mm (often for VW/Audi/BMW sets) or 29-30mm (e.g., some GM/Detroit Diesel applications). For Ram Cummins 6.7L, a 28mm socket is more commonly for the fuel filter cap (e.g. low-profile version) rather than for the injectors themselves.
